One to one training is provided in the workshop of Cornforth Studios at 32 Boundary Road, Newbury RG14 5RR.
Fine Art Trade Guild Certified Framer, Jean Ince, GCF provides all of the training personally.
Jean, who has been framing for 20 years is a fully accredited Picture Framing Trainer and Examiner and the courses are endorsed by the Fine Art Trade Guild.
In addition to her picture framing experience, and experience of owning and running a successful picture framing business, Jean has over 20 years experience devising, running and overseeing training courses, from instructional techniques to senior management development.
Course content is based on each applicant's individual training needs.
Courses are appropriate to those :
. with no previous picture framing experience
. who want refresher training in preparation for the Guild Certified Framer Examination
. who want refresher training in preparation for return to the workplace
. who are thinking about starting or buying into an exiting picture framing business
. who are thinking about framing as a hobby
. artists, who want to learn how to frame their artwork to best advantage
Each applicant is provided with a comprehensive 'Training Course Components' document.
This document lists all of the training topics available.
It has a tick box list which applicants use to identify and record training needs and provides the basis on which individual training courses are planned.

Typically, an introduction to picture framing training course is of 1 day's duration but courses can be as short as half a day or as long as 5 days - it's entirely at the request of the applicant.
Each course closes with an evaluation of the training day and identification of further training needs and how they may be met.

Full day 9.30 am to 4.30 pm £295
Half day 9.30 am to 1.00 pm £150
Prices include refreshments and standard framing materials.
A full list of training equipment will be provided in advance as will a list of items you should bring with you.
